so, about thanksgiving break...
i ended up in the ER yesterday. (just an infection—some antibiotics to take this week and i'll be good as new!) haven't really been feeling well because of that, so productivity has been low, and haven't done much all break. oh, but i did finish the xenoblade chronicles 2 DLC (and got some cleaning done today). but i'm happy to say i'm feeling like myself again.

here's that weekend post i mentioned a few days ago!
saturday was alright, i suppose. i did enjoy seeing the tempest (though my sister was pretty lost the whole time), but i wasn't really in the right mindset for studying. everything kinda blew past me, like water over plastic. i ended up ditching studying and started playing the sequel to butterfly soup (which i just finished before i started writing! very good game. if you like visual novels and asian-american lesbians, you should play it.) things today...weren't ideal, but i got it done, and it feels real nice to not have any work hanging over my head anymore. hopefully my grade will be okay—they lock it at the end of the marking period, so i won't be able to see my final grades for a bit. anyway, on sunday i went to animenyc! it was a great time—it's been a while since i've been to a convention, and i've never gone with friends before. honestly, it was...a little rough, mentally, but i don't wanna delve into that right now. but who knows—maybe someday i'll talk about my mental problems on this blog. anyway, we were even able to get into a (free!) concert for alexandros, who did a song for gundam hathaway. it was really sweet, actually, because the bass player said he was "fucking overwhelmed" and how japan is so strict, this is the first time in three years he's been able to hear the crowd. i got to meet julia, jacob, and karina of drawfee fame and got stuff signed by them and bought a drawtectives pin, got a bunch of free pins, and bought a haro model kit and a special-coating destiny gunpla kit. my friend & i met up with another friend in the city later and we spent a few hours together after the con, too!

it appears that i am not the only one to have had a rough week. had a bunch of stuff to catch up on from missing several days of school in the beginning of november, and organizing and getting all that done made this week pretty rocky. still, we persist! it's the end of the marking period so stress is high. i'm pretty happy with my grades, though! certainly an improvement from last year. plus, thanksgiving break next week shines hopefully in the distance, a light at the end of the tunnel. i'm not out of the woods yet—this weekend i'll be studying for a test i still have to make up. but this weekend does hold some more exciting things! i'll be at anime nyc on sunday, and tomorrow i'm seeing the tempest with my sister. and today's fall ball has me hyped for blaseball's return. i really do feel a lot better than i have been, and i imagine the weekend will be much better than my week. i haven't been taking good care of myself what with all my make-up work. i can survive off of 6 hours of sleep, but neglecting eating is a really bad habit of mine...but i've got most of that weight off my shoulders now, so everything should be looking up soon. between classwork today i read a lot of dante's inferno—i'm up to canto xv, about 1/3 of the way through. really enjoying that so far. it's nice seeing someone kind of going through the same things as you. (isn't it just fascinating, how humans have always been humans? i'm relating to a poet from 700 years ago!) yesterday and today i've been getting a bunch of compliments on my trench coat, and today i finally wore my demonia boots to school (although breaking them in is ouch).
man, blogging into the void is nice. twitter is currently falling apart. thank god for indie programming. thanks for listening to me rambling about my day (i say, to the zero people reading this. i did tell my tumblr followers about this place, but i have no idea if anyone cares enough to keep checking in. i don't mind, though—the void is nice! maybe one day i'll direct you to my other internet habitats, but for now i enjoy the anonyminity.) no plans for major updates to the site just yet, but i might make a post talking about my weekend!

first blog post. how exciting. a little about me: i'm taylor, they/them, an 18 year old high school student. i've got a bunch of ideas for what to do here, so here's some things i have "in the works" for this site: some sorta blog preview on the index page, sidebar with the most recent thing for blog posts/collection updates/what-have-you, plus making pages for my music and document collections and shit. stuff to look forward to! i like this little project, hype to work on it in the future. anyway, there's a little intro for you, whoever may be reading this. i don't know when i'll get back to this, but in any case, i'll see you later!
